2018 FALL CLEAN-UP
The City of Clarence-Rockland invitesits residents to prepare for the 2018 Fall Clean-up. A special collection of heavy items (household appliances) and rubbish will be made:
The heavy items pick-up will take place on residents’ usual waste collection day.
DETAILS OF THE COLLECTION
Please place your regular garbage (3 items) and recyclables on the same side of your home’s entrance and your heavy items on the opposite side of your driveway.
ITEMS THAT WILL NOT BE PICKED UP:
YOUR ITEMS SHALL BE PLACED ON THE GROUND.
A MAXIMUM VOLUME OF 4' X 8' X 4' WILL BE COLLECTED. ANY QUANTITY EXCEEDING THESE DIMENSIONS WILL NOT BE PICKED UP.
METAL MUST BE PLACED APART BECAUSE IT WILL BE COLLECTED SEPARATELY.
You may also bring your unwanted articles to the municipal landfill site at 2335 Lalonde, Bourget at no charge except for appliances containing refrigerants (applicable charges will apply):
Only cars, pick-up trucks and utility trailers will be accepted free of charge.
APPLICABLE CHARGES TO TANDEM TRUCKS, DUMPING TRAILERS AND FARM WAGONS
NOTE: Charges will apply to businesses and institutions.
GIVE AWAY WEEKEND
In order to promote the reuse of goods, the City invites you to place your reusable goods on curbside as soon as Saturday, September 29th 2018.
Usable items to be discarded shall have be clearly identified with a note indicating «free».

Household Hazardous Waste Depot
Who can use the depot?
Residents only. The depot is not designed to meet business needs.
What can I bring to the depot?
- Aerosol containers
- All types of batteries - including car batteries and rechargeable batteries
- Used oil
- Cooking oil
- Light bulbs and fluorescent tubes
- gas and mixed gas
- Oil filters
- Pesticides and garden fertilizers
- Pool products
- Propane tanks
- Adhesives and glue
- B.P.C. Drums
- Smoke detectors and CO2 detectors
- Explosives and munitions
It is prohibited to dispose of the above products in the curbside garbage collection.
Electronic Equipment and Obsolete Computer Systems
Location: At the landfill site, 2335 Lalonde Rd., Bourget ON
As of April 30, 2010, the City of Clarence-Rockland will accept electronic equipment and outdated computer systems FREE at the landfill for residents.
This new program will allow residents to deposit in appropriate containers cellular phones, CD players, MP3 players, DVD players, televisions, computers and other obsolete electrical and electronic waste. They will be transported to recycling companies.
These wastes are equivalent to at least 40 tons shipped to our landfill site each year. Residents wishing to dispose of their electronic waste can visit www.recycleyourelectronics.ca for more details.
We recommend the removal of all your personal data on your hard drives as well as your phones and cameras. You will be asked to sign a form to this effect if you do not remove your personal information. The City of Clarence-Rockland and the Ontario Electronics Stewardship will not be held responsible for any information which may remain on your devices.
We do not accept ink cartridges that are obsolete or unusable.
