Municipal Services

The Administration is responsible for all matters pertaining to policies, by-laws, administrative procedures, the preparation of municipal council agendas and minutes, official correspondence, human resources, municipal elections along with the issuance of marriage licences, lottery licences, burial permits, death and birth registrations.

The Finance department is responsible for the annual budgets, the municipal debt, banking arrangements, tax collection, water and sewer billings as well as long and short term investments and loans.

The Recreation department coordinates the management of municipal recreational facilities such as parks, arenas, community centres and the promotion of recreational programs, for obtaining available recreational grants as well as the maintenance of municipal and community buildings.

The Physical Services are responsible for the road maintenance, engineering, environment (including garbage and recycling collections) waterworks, sanitary sewers and municipal drains.

The Construction department is responsible for ensuring compliance of the Ontario Building Code and the municipal by-laws relating to all construction projects.

The Daycare offers you a daycare service for toddlers, preschoolers and school aged children.

The By-Law department is responsible for protecting health, safety and peace within the community by enforcing municipal by-laws.

The Planning department monitors the land use planning and development while ensuring quality of life for its residents with respect to harmonisation of activities, spaces and landscapes.

The Fire department protects lives, properties and the environment of residents.

The Library offers you a wide variety of services, books, videos, musical cassettes and others in both official languages.
